Crypto.com Makes History with Full CFTC Derivatives Licenses
Crypto.com has become the first major cryptocurrency platform to secure a full suite of derivatives licenses from the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The approvals include futures commission merchant (FCM), designated contract market (DCM), and derivatives clearing organization (DCO) licenses—positioning the exchange as a global leader in regulated crypto services.
The milestone allows Crypto.com Derivatives North America (CDNA) to offer margined crypto derivatives alongside its existing fully collateralized products. This marks a significant step in U.S. crypto regulation, where derivatives markets have historically faced challenges.
The MOVE underscores Crypto.com's aggressive push toward becoming the most compliant platform in the industry. "We're proud to be the first," the company stated, signaling ambitions to dominate institutional and retail crypto trading under regulatory clarity.
